How long is each section of the certification process?
Each section is 60 hours. This includes 50 hours of hands-on experiential classroom training and 10 hours of home study. The home study portion involves reading a related book and 4 hours of practicum outside the classroom. You must submit a written book report and an assessment of the practical work upon completion of each section to receive a certification.
Can I just take one section?
Yes. By just taking one section you will gain some wonderful tools that will help you not only on a professional level, but on a personal level as well.
Can I start practicing hypnosis after completing just one section?
You can start seeing clients after completing just one section, although you can only work within the scope of practice of your training as you will only be certified in that area of training that you completed. You cannot call yourself a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist until you have completed the whole curriculum
We highly recommend taking the entire program. The certification program gives you the advantage of broad based modality training in integrative hypnotherapy including Ericksonian Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy, Energy Psychology, Therapeutic Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Therefore, you will have more clinical experience and skills to create greater success if you choose to have a professional practice.
How are Energy Psychology and Therapeutic Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) related to Hypnotherapy?
These modalities are complementary to the practice of hypnotherapy and can be easily integrated into your repertoire of skills. These courses supply additional techniques to shift limiting beliefs that may be hidden in the subconscious mind as well as in the energetic body. These modalities can be used alone and in combination with hypnotherapy. Incorporating Energy Psychology and Therapeutic NLP into your hypnosis practice will help you be more effective in achieving success with your clients.
What are the benefits of the Supervised Clinical Internship?
The Supervised Clinical Internship gives graduate students the opportunity to test and practice the skills they have acquired in class with actual clients. They receive mentoring and coaching from the Internship Supervisor, as well as support and feedback from the group. These 50 hours of clinical experience assure your success as a hypnotherapist. If you choose to do the internship it is independent from the 4-classroom modules. This can only be taken 6 months after the completion of the other training. The internship is set up to assist you in opening a practice if you so choose.
There are many hypnotherapy schools. What makes the Motivational Institute of Hypnotherapy unique?

- The Motivational Institute of Hypnotherapy is just one of a few schools nationwide that offers a Supervised Clinical Internship which is separate from the 240 hours of classroom training.

- Each of our students and graduates are coached and mentored throughout their training and their careers.
