Ways to Fortify Your Immune System

Below are some powerful techniques to support your immune system. Most are from Donna Eden’s book Energy Medicine, (more of which will be taught in our next training in Energy Psychology). These techniques are easy to apply and are beneficial in enhancing wellness and vitality.

FOUR THUMPS FOR WELLNESS

Thymus Thump: Tap or thump the upper middle portion of your chest for about 1 minute or about 80 times.

The thymus is the immune system’s surveillance gland. If you override the thymus’s intelligence by ignoring your body’s needs, the thymus’s surveillance mechanism becomes confused.

By stimulating the thymus gland, you help tune it and awaken it to work for you. The Thymus Thump helps if you are catching a cold or fighting an infection, or if the immune system is otherwise challenged. The thymus also helps to:

  • Boost your immune system
  • Stimulate all of your energies
  • Increase your strength and vitality

Neuro-Lymphatic Reflex (NLR): Massage your upper ribs on both the right and left sides of your sternum in a circular motion. Rub up and out – like ram’s horns, 5-10 times. These points may feel tender.

The job of the Lymphatic System is to help remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues. If your lymph system isn’t flowing well you might feel ill or have no energy at all. By massaging these points, you are sending fresh energy through the body which helps to:

  • Strengthen your immune system
  • Increase your energy level
  • Balance your blood chemistry

K-27: Tap or thump just beneath the collarbone about 1-inch to the right and left side of the sternum. It’s best to tap with your palms. Cross your hands and tap or thump simultaneously on both sides for 10-15 seconds.

Tapping or thumping on the K-27 Kidney meridian points sends signals to the brain that adjust your energies so you can feel healthier, be more alert, and perform more effectively. Tapping or thumping the K-27 points helps to:

  • Energize you, when feeling drowsy
  • Strengthen your immune system
  • Enhance clear thinking
  • Boost and restore your energy
  • Reduce fatigue
  • Increase your strength and vitality
  • Keep your energies moving forward

Spleen Meridian: With your palms, thump or rub the lower sides of your ribs approximately 5 times.

This meridian is the gateway or connector into the Lymphatic System. Thumping or rubbing these points helps to clear toxins that are blocking the function of the Spleen meridian and organ. This supports the immune system so the body can better metabolize particular emotions, thoughts, energies, external influences, or even foods. Thumping or rubbing the Spleen meridian helps:

  • Strengthen the immune system, especially beneficial for autoimmune diseases
  • Provide an energy lift
  • Reduce chronic fatigue
  • Fight any illness or disease
  • Metabolize and detoxify the lymphatic system
  • Reduce a fever
  • Regain self-control and inner balance

HOW TO WARD OFF A COLD OR FLU

Separating Heaven from Earth: (See Technique below.)

This is an excellent exercise to use when you feel stressed or overly emotional; or anytime you start feeling poorly, threatened by a fever, cold or flu symptoms; or if you feel achy or dragged down with no energy.

Most people collect too much energy rather than have too little. We need to empty ourselves of this surplus or it becomes sludge-like in our system.

This exercise is a powerful stretch that releases excess energies and helps to:

  • Bring fresh oxygen to the cells
  • Open meridians for better energy flow
  • Expel toxic energies
  • Stimulate fresh energy flow through the body and joints

Technique:

  1. Place your hands at your heart in a namaste or prayer position.
  2. Inhale deeply though your nose as you:

Stretch one arm high above your head, flattening your hand toward the heavens, and stretch the other hand down, flattening your hand toward the earth.

  1. Exhale returning your hands to the namaste or prayer position.
  2. Repeat while switching the arm that rises and the arm that lowers.
  3. Do a couple more lifts on each side.
  4. Coming out of the pose:

Bring your arms down and allow your body to fold over at the waist. Hang there with your knees slightly bent taking two or three deep breaths.

  1. Slowly return to a standing position, stretching out the spine and rolling your shoulders back.
  2. Bring your hands back into a namaste or prayer position and send yourself love as you feel the gratitude.

That’s it for now. Take care of yourself. Stay home, stay safe, and most of all stay healthy.
