If your life is a book, and you are the author, how would you write your story?
What are the stories that are driving you? Are they steering you in the direction of where you want to be going? Or have you been detouring?
Too often we are stopped by our own thoughts or influenced by the opinion of others, which may hamper our growth. Remember, it doesn’t matter what others think about you, as it’s all made up in their minds anyway. Let it go.
We live our lives based on the patterns and constraints of our past. We search for more, yet find excuses to stop ourselves along our journey. Be aware of the stories you keep telling yourself.
Become a better, more evolved version of yourself…When you change your story, you change your life.
A year from now what will you wish you had started today?
Stop looking outside of yourself for more. Instead, look in the mirror and really see who you’re looking for. Believe in yourself and in the power of your dreams; otherwise, you risk sitting on the sidelines of your life! If you find yourself playing small, step up and create the life you want. There are no excuses, only choices. Remember, if you make an excuse, that is your choice.
We get used to seeing the world our way, thinking that is the only way to see it. Now that we’re a month into the New Year, having left 2020 behind us, the only way to truly appreciate how much you’ve learned and grown is to reflect back on this past year with 20/20 hindsight. To realize how you’ve changed and how resilient you actually are. That’s a gift.
We live in the feelings of our thinking, not our circumstances. It’s time to create new beginnings. If you believe it, you can create it. Know the story you want others to say about you. You have the pen in hand, as you write your next chapter make sure it reflects quality and passion in your life. Ask yourself, what is life going to look like on the future side of the past year?
Burn the ship when you get to the new world, so you can’t go back.
The world around you is a reflection, a mirror showing you the person you are. There will always be things in your blind spots. Your mirror is there to help you see those spots. Find a coach or mentor who will help you see from a better perspective.
Show your best face to the mirror, and you will be happy with the face reflecting back to you.
You can’t change yesterday, but you can ruin today by holding on to the past and worrying about tomorrow. Get rid of what you don’t want to make room for what you do want.
You have a unique role that only you can fulfill….Sometimes, it’s a matter of simply remembering who you are. It’s not about living a perfect life. It’s about living a life that’s perfect for you.
