“As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world, it’s in being able to remake ourselves.” ~ Gandhi
How are you planning on creating a new you?
Now that almost 100,000,000 Americans have been vaccinated, many of us are beginning to see a light at the end of what seems to have been a very long, dark tunnel. It felt as if we were all in the same storm while each navigated their own ship.
A year ago, our lives turned upside down. While at times it seemed bleak, we all had to create a new normal. Now, as we gradually expand our comfort zone and re-enter into something that’s familiar, yet different, a new normal is happening once again. I keep wondering what life is going to look like on the future (other) side of this past year.
It reminds me of a caterpillar that creates a chrysalis (cocoon). Within that protective covering, it transforms and a beautiful butterfly emerges. Just like the butterfly, now is the time for us to spread our wings and soar.
Let your life be a reflection of the quality of your efforts; do it with purpose and passion.
Our lives have all changed, and no one knows for sure what that’s going to be like…as it truly will be a test of time. Some of hunkered down over the past year, so it’s important to be patient with yourself and others. Don’t wait around for someone else to give you permission to live. Value your purpose and enjoy the journey as it plays out.
“What you do today is important, because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.” ~ Heartsill Wilson
A friend once told me that you can’t lift a thousand pounds all at once. Yet you can easily lift one pound a thousand times. Tiny, repeated efforts will get you there. Appreciate the new normal you’re creating now.
