Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before?
Have you ever listened to a motivational trainer and felt so inspired and ready to conquer the world? Yet over the course of a week or two that feeling had waned to almost nothing, you went back to your old ways of thinking, and the changes you experienced were gone. That’s because we all fall back onto the same patterns as before until we truly change our thoughts. But how do we get those changes to stick?
You have a unique role only you can fulfill. Sometimes it’s just a matter of simply remembering who you are. Once you change your thoughts, you change your reality. You must first listen to your thoughts. If they are negative or filled with limiting beliefs, flip the switch and change them.
It’s like driving a car. We need to keep our eyes focused on what’s happening all around us (staying in the present) which will help us move toward our destination (our future). Every now and then it’s important to take a peek into the rear view mirror (our past) to see where we came from, taking the insight and learning and applying it to now, which will help us move into manifesting our goals. If we keep on focusing on the past, then we’re only going to collide in our present state and not able to move forward in our life’s journey.
Change is happening all around us on a daily basis, but we need to pause and take notice. An example I like to use is when we put a new picture on the wall we notice it every time we enter the room for the first week or two. Then we stop noticing it–yet the picture is still there–and so is the change that’s happening within you. Remember to stop, pause, and reflect.
Your future is in the Now. Everything in life is like a dance…it’s up to you to choose how you will express it.
Enjoy every moment.
